Johnson Controls is seeking an Controls Systems Technician Team Leader to oversee field technician operations support customer accounts and help drive safe profitable HVAC service this role you will lead a team coordinate resources and support both service and installation work with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the field technician team including route planning performance review staffing support and operational execution. The role balances customer needs financial goals and safety compliance while helping the business maintain consistent delivery and strong account performance.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the field technician team and plan monthly technician routes.
- Analyze team performance and recommend changes that improve profitability safety and client satisfaction.
- Supervise assigned teams and ensure developmental plans coaching and performance expectations are in place.
- Lead the execution of assigned business activities and help maintain consistency across delivery systems.
- Coordinate the teams work with sales to support service opportunities and installation opportunities.
- Monitor serviced account portfolios to support growth proper profit levels and strong customer satisfaction.
- Recommend and support staffing requirements for the assigned business.
- Share standard process strategies and results to support business goals and align with SSNA vision.
- Implement and monitor HVAC operating standards audit effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Ensure contractual obligations are completed and that customer expectations are met.
- Drive service and installation operational review meetings including review of bids and estimates for accuracy.
- Apply branch workforce planning and resource deployment to support successful execution.
- Recruit hire and retain operational staff and support performance reviews and development planning.
- Work with team leaders to ensure the right workforce and skill levels are in place for profitable execution.
- Support customer satisfaction account management and deployment of key initiatives to the team.
- Lead with accountability for safety integrity and results. Set clear expectations follow through on commitments and keep customer and business priorities aligned.
- Stay close to the work and remove obstacles for the team and the customer. Use route planning staffing decisions and resource deployment to keep service delivery efficient and responsive.
- Improve every day through candid review of performance bids estimates and operating data. Identify root causes take practical action and adjust plans to strengthen outcomes.
- Win as one team by partnering across sales branch leadership and field operations. Communicate clearly share standard processes and support decisions with collaboration and trust.
- Coach direct reports through regular one-on-ones operational reviews and development planning so each team member understands how to succeed.
- Use a disciplined approach to monitoring HVAC standards contractual obligations and account performance while keeping the customer experience front and center.
- Minimum of five years of progressive operational experience in HVAC services.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a management role with responsibility for the productivity and development of others.
- Experience leading field operations planning technician workloads and supporting customer satisfaction while balancing financial goals.
- Strong communication coaching and team leadership skills.
- Ability to review operational performance support staffing decisions and drive execution across service and installation activities.
- Bachelors degree in engineering or business or equivalent working experience.
- Johnson Controls Metasys experience.
- Eight years of experience in an operational HVAC role with leadership responsibilities.
- Six Sigma Green Belt.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $89000 - $134000 (Salary to be determined by the education experienceknowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with marketdata.)
