MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Controls Engineer at our Plymouth Michigan manufacturing this role you will design develop maintain and troubleshoot control and automation systems that support manufacturing efficiency quality safety and reliability.

  • Location: Plymouth MI

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 1st Shift

  • Pay: $80000-$100000 per year

What Youll Do as a Controls Engineer
  • Design develop and implement automation systems for manufacturing and related processes using control systems instrumentation and automation technologies.

  • Develop new and modify existing PLC HMI and embedded control applications and interfaces to meet operational requirements.

  • Support the setup and commissioning of new manufacturing facilities and upgrades to existing control systems.

  • Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve control system malfunctions and complex technical issues.

  • Recommend system improvements that enhance operational efficiency reliability quality and performance.

  • Create and maintain detailed specifications system configurations operational procedures and other technical documentation.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering operations and maintenance teams to support the effective deployment and operation of control systems.

What Youll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree.

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in control systems engineering PLC programming HMI development and automation.

  • Strong understanding of control systems PLC programming platforms such as Siemens and Rockwell HMI development and embedded systems.

  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Solid math and analytical abilities for problem-solving and system optimization.

  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in technical work and documentation.
