MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Controls Engineer at our Farmington Hills Michigan this role you will design develop and maintain instrumentation and control systems that support safe efficient high-quality manufacturing. You will work hands-on with PLCs HMIs and embedded control applications while troubleshooting and improving automation systems.

  • Location: Farmington Hills MI

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 2nd/3rd Shift 7:00 PM3:00 AM

  • Pay: $85000$95000 per year depending on skills and experience

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Salary

What Youll Do as a Controls Engineer
  • Design develop and implement automation systems for manufacturing and related processes using control systems instrumentation and automation technologies.

  • Develop and modify PLC HMI and embedded control applications and interfaces to meet operational requirements.

  • Support the setup and commissioning of new facilities and upgrades to existing control systems.

  • Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve control system malfunctions.

  • Recommend control system improvements that enhance efficiency reliability and quality.

  • Create and maintain detailed specifications system configurations operational procedures and other technical documentation.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering operations and maintenance teams to support effective deployment and operation of control systems.

What Youll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • 24 years of hands-on experience in control systems engineering PLC programming HMI development and automation.

  • Experience with control systems Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting HMI development and embedded systems.

  • Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in technical work and documentation.
