WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provides engineering support to Maintenance and Production to safely and cost effectivelycoordinate ongoing maintenance of current process automation systems control systems andinstrumentation.
Drive continuous improvement efforts that maximize automation and control through the use of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and the site Distributed Control System (DCS).
Responsible for maintaining and improving process instrumentation
Installing upgrades or improvements in adherence to safety and environmental standardsalong with the sites management of change process.
Develop and maintain process related documentation P&IDs Loop Diagrams Wiring
Diagrams Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Procedures and others as needed.
Responsible for all aspects of process automation and control engineering as a supportfunction to production for the safe and efficient operation of the process
Develop and implement concepts and plans for equipment improvements that optimizeprocesses to meet customer and internal requirements.
Develop manage and implement Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) that maintain or improveplant operations.
Supervise and prepare estimates for maintenance work and capital projects
Coordinate supervise and guide technicians contractors and sub-contractors including themonitoring of man-hours invoices and general costs.
Troubleshoot process issues across reactors blend tanks extruders pumps and conveyingsystems as it pertains to controls and instrumentation
Seek out and initiate process changes to improve the safety environmental security industrialhygiene loss prevention product quality efficiency or cost of the department.
Train operations personnel on process safety control systems and instrumentation operation.
Develop a subject matter expert status for process controls and instrumentation.
Salary range $86300 - $129500 per year. The posted salary range reflects the national average for this role. Final compensation may vary based on location experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus in addition to base salary.

5 to 10 years experience in process controls and automation.
Experience working with plant DCS (Distributed Control System) or PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) required
Proficiency with Siemens DCS or Emerson/GE PLCs a plus
