Location

Springfield MA This is a full-time on-site leadership opportunity where youll work closely with executives project managers and operations teams to drive business success.

Job Description

• Lead all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger AP AR payroll billing and fixed assets.
• Manage month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes with accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements executive dashboards budgets forecasts and variance analyses.
• Oversee job costing project accounting Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and revenue recognition.
• Partner with Project Managers to monitor project performance profitability budgets and financial risks.
• Manage cash flow forecasting banking relationships working capital and treasury activities.
• Oversee billing collections accounts receivable and cash management.
• Strengthen internal controls accounting policies and financial compliance.
• Coordinate audits tax filings insurance bonding and regulatory reporting.
• Improve accounting systems financial reporting and operational processes.
• Recruit mentor and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
• 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Minimum 1 year of construction or mechanical contracting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP financial reporting budgeting forecasting and internal controls.
• Experience with job costing and WIP reporting preferred.
• Experience with Sage Timberline/Sage 300 CRE or similar construction accounting software preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership communication analytical and organizational skills.
