Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our Food Manufacturing this role you will oversee all financial operations ensuring accuracy compliance and strategic financial planning. Your expertise will help guide the companys financial health and support sustainable growth. Duties

Manage and oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes including general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions ensuring timely processing and compliance with regulations.
Oversee cash management activities including forecasting liquidity management and regulatory reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory standards relevant to governmental or non-profit accounting.
Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making and budgeting processes.
Implement and maintain accounting software such as Sage QuickBooks or Xero to streamline financial operations.
Support internal audits and coordinate external audits as needed ensuring adherence to all applicable standards.
Lead efforts in technical accounting projects including complex transactions involving payroll debits & credits and double entry bookkeeping.

Experience

Proven experience in corporate accounting public accounting or governmental accounting roles.
Strong knowledge of IFRS GAAP SOX compliance and non-profit accounting practices.
Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing forecasting budgeting and financial analysis.
Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Sage QuickBooks or Xero is essential.
Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for governmental or non-profit organizations.
Excellent understanding of financial concepts including account reconciliation general ledger management and technical accounting principles.
Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills combined with effective communication abilities to convey complex financial information clearly.
