Contract Data Pipeline Migration Engineer (On-site)

HEPCO is seeking a Data Pipeline Migration Engineer to move existing Alteryx and R analytical workflows into Dataiku and SQL. Youll translate business logic validate the results against the original pipelines and hand off production-ready workflows to the internal team.

• Convert R and Alteryx workflows into modular SQL and Dataiku visual or SQL recipes.
• Deploy and test pipelines in a cloud warehouse such as Redshift Snowflake or Athena.
• Check migrated outputs against the source pipelines using row counts checksums and other practical tests.
• Document transformation logic lineage assumptions test results deployment steps and known limitations.
• Lead two or three focused knowledge transfer sessions for data science and analytics team members.

• 24 years of data engineering experience including pipeline migration or re-platforming.
• Strong SQL skills including joins CTEs window functions and query optimization.
• Experience translating R Alteryx or similar workflow logic into SQL or another target platform.
• Ability to work independently flag blockers early and explain technical work clearly.
• Bachelors degree in computer science information systems data engineering or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience is also acceptable.

Preferred: Familiarity with Dataiku DSS dbt concepts or Git.
