Contraband Officer at HUB Enterprises a subsidiary of American Security & Investigations

Wage: $18.26 per hour

Location: Pascagoula MS

HUB Enterprises is seeking experienced and highly motivated security professionals to join our Contraband Patrol Team. These positions play a critical role in supporting site security operations through proactive patrol activities contraband interdiction field investigations and enforcement of client policies and procedures.

Candidates must possess prior experience in law enforcement corrections military service or a closely related security field and demonstrate a practical understanding of patrol operations search techniques and professional radio communications.

The ideal candidate will be observant safety-focused capable of working independently and committed to maintaining a professional presence while performing security duties in an industrial environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle personnel and area patrols within designated operational zones.
• Identify deter and report unauthorized activities and policy violations.
• Perform inspections and searches in accordance with company policies and legal standards.
• Recognize indicators of contraband possession concealment methods and suspicious behavior.
• Maintain situational awareness while operating in dynamic environments.
• Utilize professional radio communication procedures and follow established communication protocols.
• Respond to security incidents and provide detailed accurate documentation.
• Conduct field interviews and gather information related to security concerns.
• Coordinate with site security personnel supervisors and emergency responders when required.
• Enforce client security policies and safety regulations.
• Prepare thorough written reports and maintain required records.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience

Applicants must have previous experience in one or more of the following:

• Law Enforcement Officer
• Corrections Officer
• Military Police or Military Service Member
• Industrial Security Officer
• Comparable public safety or security profession

Required Knowledge and Skills

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Working knowledge of patrol operations and security procedures.
• Understanding of search tactics and contraband detection techniques.
• Proficiency in radio communication and standard communication protocols.
• Strong observational and investigative skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts weekends holidays and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior industrial security experience.
• Incident reporting experience.
• Training or certifications related to security law enforcement investigations or emergency response.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb stairs and navigate industrial environments.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain alertness and vigilance throughout assigned shifts.
