Content helps make Mimecasts mission to secure the humans data and AI that modern work depends on resonate in the market. As Content Marketing Manager youll help shape the content strategy and bring it to life across demand generation thought leadership and organic search. This is a foundational hire in a content function being built from the ground up: youll help decide how the content engine works what it prioritizes and how success is measured. Youll work across growth product marketing brand and customer marketing using AI to accelerate the work without compromising human judgment or editorial quality.

• Help develop the content strategy including audience mapping content mix channel priorities quality standards and measurement; turn gaps across the buyer journey into a prioritized roadmap.
• Shape editorial decisions by testing briefs against a clear strategic rationale and proposing alternatives when needed.
• Create campaign content such as eBooks white papers landing pages and emails partnering with growth to connect assets to buyer journey stages and pipeline goals.
• Translate complex cybersecurity topics into clear content for IT and security buyers working with the SEO team to incorporate search intent keyword priorities and organic performance data.
• Own the editorial calendar across blog long-form and contributed content; develop articles bylines and point-of-view pieces with internal subject-matter experts.
• Keep the editorial voice aligned with Mimecasts brand and Work Protected narrative and collaborate with product marketing on solution messaging and launches and with communications and social teams on distribution.
• Brief and manage freelance writers and agencies as needed.
• Use AI across research drafting optimization repurposing and performance analysis; help develop workflows prompting practices review processes and guardrails that increase output without sacrificing quality.

• Content marketing experience with the autonomy to shape strategy and execute across multiple channels; experience in B2B tech or cybersecurity is particularly useful.
• Strong writing and editorial judgment including the ability to make technical concepts accessible without losing their meaning.
• A track record of creating content that supports demand generation and brand awareness.
• The ability to manage briefs and stakeholders challenge unclear direction constructively and keep multiple workstreams moving without heavy oversight.
• Hands-on use of AI tools in content workflows with sound judgment about where AI helps and where human review is essential.
• Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools.

The base salary range for this position is $132000$198000 plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications experience and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
