- Work closely with discipline supervisors and project managers to ensure crews and subcontractors are operating efficiently to meet project requirements budgets forecasts and schedules
- Integrate safety into all project plans reinforce safety policies support safety trainings and correct unsafe conditions
- Supervise total construction efforts to ensure productivity of craft labor efficient use of materials and equipment and achievement of contractual performance goals
- Review subcontractor work packages and support execution planning
- Assist discipline supervisors with scope development technical questions and problem resolution
- Systematically evaluate project progress against goals schedules and objectives
- Conduct daily site coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams
- Ensure environmental regulatory and safety requirements are maintained throughout construction activities
- Support start-up commissioning and testing activities during project closeout
- Perform additional duties as assigned while adhering to company standards policies and procedures
- Employee may be required to visit job sites field offices and customer locations
Required Qualifications
- 2025 years of substation or related facility construction experience with a proven track record on large complex projects
- Strong technical background in the installation and operation of high-voltage electrical facilities and associated systems
- Thorough understanding of construction methods equipment scheduling cost control safety engineering coordination and craft labor management
- Ability to lead teams in fast-paced field environments while managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 20 pounds standing walking bending climbing stretching and crawling in both office and field environments
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and uneven terrain
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Experience supporting EPC projects in the electric power delivery industry
- Experience managing subcontractors field execution and commissioning support activities
- Familiarity with utility substation transmission or industrial power projects
