Job Summary
MEMCO Harlingen is Hiring aConstruction Material Technician(entry-level available) in the Rio Grande Valley candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting a variety of construction materials such as soils concrete and pile monitoring. The ideal candidate will be ACI or NICET certified. Training will be provided as needed.
Pay Rate: Base on experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for conducting field or laboratory testing sampling and/or inspection services.
- Contact the dispatcher/ coordinator for priorities and deadlines in both field and laboratory.
- Meet with contractors supervisors engineers/architect representatives or other project leaders on job sites to discuss and coordinate testing sampling or inspection of construction materials or construction procedures.
- Ensure the safe storage and upkeep of all nuclear gauges.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of each company vehicle field and laboratory equipment.
- Every day communicate with onsite clients and relay any information to the supervisor as per delay or progress.
- Daily basis submit accurate and complete testing/ inspection reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Flexibility in work schedule.
- Able to work in different environments.
- Valid drivers license
- Analyze sample results using simple math.
- Must be able to pass drug screening
- Must be able to pass background check.
- ACI NICET certification.
- Capable of physically lifting heavy materials and equipment.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writingpresent ideas clearly and in a professional manner.
