Davenergy Solutions is seeking a full-time Construction Manager to serve as the Owners Representative at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa FL. This position supports a 36-month onsite assignment.


The Construction Manager will represent the Owner by providing onsite construction oversight coordination and quality assurance services for infrastructure upgrades and renovation work within an active medical campus environment.


Requirements


  • Perform onsite inspections to verify construction work complies with contract documents drawings specifications and applicable codes
  • Monitor construction progress and report schedule quality and safety issues to the Government COR
  • Coordinate and track RFIs submittals and shop drawings to support timely reviews
  • Identify constructability sequencing and coordination issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain daily field reports inspection logs deficiency lists and progress documentation
  • Support commissioning activities and coordination with testing agencies
  • Assist with project closeout activities including punch lists as-builts warranties and O&M documentation

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in construction management owners representation or quality control/quality assurance
  • Working knowledge of commercial or healthcare construction practices
  • Familiarity with applicable building safety environmental and life-safety codes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with Government and contractor personnel
  • Proficiency with construction management and standard office software
Education
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field
  • Educational requirements may be substituted by fifteen (15) years of directly related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education licensure certifications and experience will be considered

Communication Language and Software Skills

  • Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor update and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
  • Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

Must be able to see hear walk drive climb reach stoop bend and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be prepared to encounter all construction site conditions including noise dust heights odors and enclosed spaces and be physically capable of traversing sites with unstable footing stairs rough terrain adverse weather ladders roofs and other mobility-challenging conditions. Must possess the physical ability to take measurements perform tests comparing in-place work to contract requirements and observe work activities throughout the course of construction.
