As a Construction Manager you will play a key role in delivering complex power transmission substation HVDC renewable energy and grid integration projects. You will be responsible for planning coordinating and overseeing site construction activities from project mobilization through completion helping ensure projects are delivered safely on schedule within budget and in accordance with quality environmental and contractual requirements. Working closely with project managers engineering teams subcontractors suppliers customers and site personnel you will help turn project plans into successful field execution. Your work will directly support the reliability safety and performance of critical energy infrastructure while contributing to the modernization and expansion of the power this role you will gain exposure to large-scale grid projects collaborate with experienced professionals across multiple disciplines and help deliver solutions that support the evolving energy landscape.
- Coordinate site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
- Develop and implement construction execution plans schedules and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress productivity costs and schedule performance taking appropriate corrective actions when needed.
- Manage subcontractors suppliers and construction personnel to support quality outcomes and on-time project delivery.
- Review engineering drawings specifications and contracts to address constructability considerations and project execution challenges.
- Coordinate site mobilization logistics temporary facilities and material management activities.
- Manage change orders risk mitigation activities and project documentation throughout construction execution.
- Support commissioning and project closeout activities to enable successful project handover.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of construction management experience preferably within power utility industrial transmission substation or EPC projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods scheduling cost control and contract administration.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements environmental regulations and industry safety standards.
- Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
