Construction Manager II

Job Summary
The Construction Manager II supports field execution and day-to-day construction activities across assigned projects. This position serves as the primary field liaison between contractors engineering and project leadership to help ensure work is performed safely efficiently and in accordance with project plans specifications and site safety requirements.
Location: Onsite in Oak Ridge TN
Salary: Depending on Experience
Responsibilities:
- Day to day field oversight
- First line contact for contractor on daily issues
- Collaborate with Safety to ensure safe practices on jobsite
- Ensures communication between site and contractors
- Monitor daily progress plans & specs adherence
- Monitors quality control
- Monitors schedule and reports any issues
- Generated daily reports and documentation photos
- Handles site logistics
- Coordinates submittals and approvals with engineering
- Coordinates site access and contractor site support needed
- Acts as construction STR for contacts
- Works with Construction Managers to ensure successful projects
- Support overall construction needs
- Required to work off shifts to support construction
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting construction projects in industrial commercial government or DOE environments preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to construction safety and experience working within established safety programs and procedures.
- Familiarity with construction drawings specifications and submittal processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- DOE Q clearance preferred.
