Company Profile:

In the summer of 2021 Repsol expanded its renewables operations to the U.S. through the acquisition of a large U.S.-based PV solar and battery storage project developer. This transaction was Repsols first foray into the U.S. renewables 2024 Repsol made another strategic acquisition of ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group. Repsol Renewables Services North America (RRSNA) is targeting to own and operate 3-4 GW of renewable capacity in North America by 2027.

RRSNA is seeking a Construction Management Intern to join our dynamic team and support the construction execution of utility-scale wind solar and energy storage projects across the United States. This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside project managers construction managers contractors and field personnel during active project development and construction.

This is a twelve (12) week program starting May 17 2027 August 6 2027. Interns will be assigned to active project sites and should expect extensive travel and extended stays at project locations during the internship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Construction Managers and Project Managers with daily field construction activities on utility-scale renewable energy projects.

  • Assist with monitoring project progress schedules budgets and contractor performance.

  • Participate in site inspections to verify construction activities are completed in accordance with project plans specifications safety requirements and quality standards.

  • Assist with tracking project milestones punch list items material deliveries and construction documentation.

  • Attend daily weekly and monthly construction meetings and prepare meeting notes and action item logs.

  • Support contractor coordination and communication between construction engineering procurement environmental and operations teams.

  • Assist with the review of project drawings specifications schedules and construction reports.

  • Help maintain project records including RFIs submittals change orders field reports and quality documentation.

  • Participate in safety observations and support implementation of site safety programs and initiatives.

  • Analyze construction data and prepare project status reports for management.

  • Perform assigned construction oversight activities under the supervision of project and construction management personnel.

  • Support project closeout activities turnover documentation and lessons learned reviews.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa.

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Construction Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Strong interest in utility-scale renewable energy construction and project management.

  • Ability to work in an active construction environment and comply with all site safety requirements.

  • Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.

  • Exemplary standards of integrity safety ethics quality and productivity.

Mandatory Travel Requirement:

  • This position requires extensive travel to project sites throughout the United States.

  • Interns must be willing and able to relocate temporarily and remain at assigned project sites for extended periods of time potentially for the duration of the internship assignment.

  • Long-term stays near assigned project locations are a mandatory requirement of the position.

  • Candidates must be comfortable working in remote project environments and traveling as business needs dictate.
