Job Summary
ATCS is looking for a Construction (Facilities/MEP) Inspector to join our Construction Services team supporting our client Loudoun County.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing a variety of renovation and capital improvement projects across county-owned buildings and facilities to ensure work is completed safely on schedule within budget and in compliance with approved plans specifications codes and contract requirements. The role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems as well as facilities maintenance and construction oversight.
The position is 100% on-site working closely with county stakeholders and project teams with typical hours of 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM EST Monday through Friday.
- Monitor and inspect construction projects for quality safety code compliance and adherence to contract documents.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously tracking schedules budgets progress risks and project milestones.
- Coordinate and document required inspections and project activities.
- Maintain accurate project records daily reports correspondence and status updates.
- Identify and resolve construction issues delays quality concerns and contract discrepancies.
- Review contractor payment applications and provide recommendations for approval.
- Facilitate communication between contractors architects engineers and County stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings including pre-construction and pre-installation meetings.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance and document deficiencies as needed.
- Prepare regular project status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum four (4) years of construction inspection or building trades experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of construction methods materials building systems safety practices and contract administration.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings specifications and project schedules.
- Excellent organizational documentation communication and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/document control software.
- OSHA certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or other relevant construction/project management certifications.
- Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position we offer a competitive salary range of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for overtime and an annual bonus with a target 2% of the employees annualized salary. .
