Construction Coordinator
Job Summary
RoleDescription:
Positionverifiesfield execution by construction contractors meets the health safetyand environmental requirements as outlined by client.Positionsupports projects in the executionphases consistent with publishedobjectives guidelinesand company principles.Positionreports to the Construction Manager and providesthe primary interface for the construction contractors to the sites HSE and Project Management function during field assessment.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide constructability input during the project engineering and design
Provide input in the project construction cost estimate and preliminary schedule
Provide input on the construction execution plan within the overall project execution plan
Workwith the project manager toestablishthe contractors work schedule
Conductfield construction activitiesin regards tosafety productivity and qualityon a daily basis
Verifythesafe and effectiveuse of equipment and resources
Verifytheefficient use of labor and materialsin order tomeet approved project budgets
Provideanoverview of daily work activities of field construction
Participate in detail engineering reviews
Schedule andfacilitateconstruction kick off meetings
Participatein weekly project scheduling meetings
Manageconstruction schedules and budgets for assigned projects
Participatein construction team weekly meetings
Verifytimelyconstruction updates to production representative on assigned projects
Participatein engineering and constructioncontractor performance reviews
Trackperformance overtime and providing guidance on incentives
Participatein construction team safety meetings
Facilitate contractor safety orientations
Facilitatestart-up reviews at job completion
Participate orfacilitateincident investigations
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
Minimum of 5 years working supervisory positionin maintenance turnarounds or projectsin petrochemical facilities(preferred)
