Concessions Manager

Position Summary

The Concession Manager(s) is supervisory employee responsible for overall management and operations of the concessions stand for high school extracurricular activities and special events. The manager will be

responsible for inventory and purchasing staffing and volunteer scheduling cash management as well as food and sanitation safety.

Supervisor or Reports to: High School Administration / Superintendent

Part-Time

• Wage is $22 per hour
• 20 25 hours per week (Exceptions dependent on administrative approval.) If multiple managers are hired these hours would be split.

Expectations

Follow directives from administration and take initiative in completing the duties and responsibilities of the position. Completion of the food safety (Safe Serve).

Minimum Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check as required per school board policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory and Purchasing

• Order food drinks and supplies
• Inventory and stock before games or events
• Track expiration dates and reduce waste
• Secure licensed food vendors for special events at administrative discretion (Food Trucks)

Staff and Volunteer Management

• Recruit and schedule staff and volunteers
• Train workers: Food safety customer service
• Supervise workers during events

Cash Management

• Follow District policy and procedure for handling cash
• Count and balance cash after each event
• Set food and beverage prices
• Report profits to administration

Safety and Sanitation

• Follow health department rules and regulations
• Keep equipment clean and working properly
• Clean counters and floors after each event
• Store food safely

**Other duties as assigned.

• Cleaning supplies food supplies and equipment

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works inside but may be assigned to outside concession areas
• The employee must be able to meet deadlines sometimes with severe time constraints.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit walk and stand; twist at neck bend at waist; kneel; reach.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee is required to be able to hear conversations in moderate environments.
• May be required to lift or move up to 25 pounds of equipment/supplies.

• The employee frequently exercises flexibility (ability to shift from one task to another).
• The employee frequently works within time constraints and maintains attentiveness intensity.
• The employee is frequently involved in social interactions which require oral and written communications.
