We are seeking an seasoned COMSEC professional to provide onsite management for a highvisibility COMSEC team supporting multiple classified mission areas in El Segundo. This role is critical to maintaining continuity oversight and compliance across SAP SCI and collateral COMSEC accounts. The successful candidate will partner closely with program offices government customers and crossfunctional RTX teams to ensure secure and efficient operations.

What You Will Do

  • Provide on-site leadership and direct supervision for a team of seven COMSEC personnel supporting collateral and SAP COMSEC accounts.
  • Oversee daytoday COMSEC operations including key management incident response DIAS reporting inventory accuracy and compliance activities across SAP SCI and collateral environments.
  • Serve as the primary COMSEC Lead for El Segundo programs and government customers ensuring alignment with mission requirements compliance doctrine (NSA CSSM Policy 3-16 CNSSIs NISPOM etc.) and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate deployment programming and sustainment of secure communications technology such as HAIPE devices vIPer phones keying material software upgrades and Manufacturing of equipment.
  • Partner cross-functionally with program managers engineers facility leadership and government representatives to resolve complex challenges improve throughput and ensure secure compliant operations.
  • Lead team development performance management coaching work prioritization and resource planning to maintain operational continuity and employee engagement.


What You Will Learn

  • Deep exposure to advanced COMSEC operations supporting programs including SAP SCI and multiple classified mission areas.
  • Enhanced leadership skills gained through management of a highvisibility COMSEC team in a complex multi-customer environment.
  • Experience navigating government customer expectations NSA and DCSA policy requirements DIAS and enterprise-level security governance.
  • Broader understanding of RTX El Segundo operational workflows emerging secure communications technologies throughput planning and enterprise security risk management.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience leading or supervising COMSEC operations or security teams.
  • Experience with DoD NSA and classified program compliance requirements to include but not limited to NISPOM NSA CSSM Policy 3-16 and its associated references.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience supporting COMSEC accounting key management auditing inventories and compliance validation.


Qualifications We Prefer

  • NSA COMSEC Course (IAEC-2212)
  • Experience working within SAP and/or SCI environments.
  • Experience with DIAS reporting and incident reporting procedures.
  • Familiarity with secure communications equipment including HAIPE devices vIPer phones legacy COMSEC systems and troubleshooting secure hardware/software.
  • Experience improving operational processes leading cross-functional initiatives and driving compliance enhancements.
  • Experience managing Windows-based information systems or secure network devices.
  • Experience with support of a Large COMSEC account to include receipt custody safeguarding manufacturing and destruction of production and/or depot COMSEC material.

The salary range for this role is 118300 USD - 224900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
