JOB TITLE: Components Engineer - REMOTE

Summary:

• Review designs of aerospace hardware for compliance with military specifications such as MIL-STD-11991.
• Review electrical and electronic equipment designs including piece parts circuit card assemblies wires and harnesses and electromechanical assemblies.
• Develop non-standard part approval requests (NSPARs) for Department of Defense organizations.
• Interpret manufacturer datasheets source control drawings and Bill of Materials.
• Apply understanding of active and passive electronic piece parts including device manufacture and operation.
• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
• Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze data and evaluate component acceptability.
• Perform detailed part level obsolescence management including monitoring BOMs solving issues scheduling implementation of fixes and finding new sources.
• Work with design engineers interface with other functional areas and vendors and enforce PMPCP compliance.
• Make presentations to program management and customers.

Requirements:

• Ability to Obtain Security Clearance.
• Three (3) years of experience working to MIL-STD-11991 requirements.
• Experience developing non-standard part approval requests (NSPARs) to DoD organizations.
• Experience interpreting manufacturer datasheets source control drawings and Bill of Materials.
• Strong understanding of active and passive electronic piece parts.
• Experience with obsolescence management including monitoring BOMs solving issues scheduling fixes and finding new sources.
• Experience with quality engineering reviews of design documentation.
• Experience applying statistical process control (SPC) methods.
• Willingness to accept wide variety of work assignments supporting end-to-end process of electronic systems.
• Experience working with design engineers vendors and enforcing PMPCP compliance.
