DEFINITION:Under the direction of the school Principal the Community School Coordinator is the school leadership team member responsible for the design implementation and supervision of a set of programmatic preventions interventions and enrichment activities designed to support the holistic development of students. The Community School Coordinator works under the daily guidance of the Principal to develop and supervise all community school programming in the school including: Attendance support and interventions Family support services Family engagement and community-building Health and wellness services Enrichment activities including those that occur during the school day after school and Community School Coordinator is a leader who empowers builds creates and develops relationships with school leaders educational partners and community organizations to implement a community school strategy guided by a community school addition the Community School Coordinator bridges the relationships among all community partners to improve connectedness and surround the whole child with supportacademically socially emotionally and OF JOB DUTIES: (May include but is not limited to the following)The Community School Coordinator is responsible for working specifically with the Principal and other members of the school Leadership Team to ensure that the barriers to learning that may exist for each student are eliminated and/or significantly DUTIES: (Include but are not limited to the following)1. Assure the high-quality functioning of other community school programming including health dental mental health and family support services.2. Requirements / Qualifications

Experience and training:1. 5 years of experience working with education health services or social services (in-schooland/or out-of-school settings) preferred2. Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Social Work Education or related field preferred3. A demonstrated goal orientation and focus on outcomes and results4. A demonstrated ability to effectively work with traditionally under-served students includingEnglish Language Learners youth with special needs youth who have been or are currentlyinvolved in the child welfare system children living below self-sufficiency youth on probationand youth from single-parent households5. A history of service to under-resourced communities preferred6. Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred

1. FINGERPRINTING FOR CONDUCTING A BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION IS REQUIRED and completed upon offer of employment.2. Tuberculosis Test/screening REQUIRED and completed upon offer of employment.3. CPR & First Aid REQUIRED and must be completed within the first 6 months of employment.4. Two forms of government Identification REQUIRED to prove ability to be employed in the United States.
