Position Overview

As the communitys steward RA is responsible for maintaining the quality of life in Reston chiefly by caring for and administering the communitys most precious asset - its real property.
At RA our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are actively seeking a Community Outreach Manager to join our team! The primary function of this position is to lead Reston Associations outreach education and support efforts for cluster and condominium associations while serving as the primary relationship manager between RA and community association leadership.
The Community Outreach Manager plays a critical role in fostering strong partnerships with cluster and condominium boards by providing guidance resources and support related to governance common area maintenance design review processes community standards and other association matters. This position serves as a key liaison between community leaders and the Association and works collaboratively across departments to enhance engagement and service delivery.
This is a working manager position requiring significant direct engagement with the community including attendance at board meetings site visits community walkthroughs educational workshops and outreach events. The Community Outreach Manager will oversee the Community Outreach Program develop and execute engagement initiatives manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously supervise assigned staff and collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure a consistent and exceptional member experience. The position also supports strategic planning efforts by identifying emerging community needs and developing programs and resources that strengthen relationships between Reston Association and community associations.
What Youll Bring
- Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Four to six years of experience in community association management architectural/design review covenant administration planning covenant/code compliance or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience supervising diverse large teams leading initiatives and developing educational programs training or outreach efforts.
- Strong knowledge of customer service excellence member engagement and service delivery principles.
- Exceptional written verbal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills including the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities manage multiple assignments meet deadlines and ensure timely follow-through.
- Ability to build productive relationships collaborate effectively and navigate challenging or sensitive situations with professionalism tact and sound judgment.
- Ability to interpret and consistently apply policies procedures governing documents and established standards.
- Ability to think strategically develop innovative solutions and take initiative to achieve results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word Excel Teams and Zoom.
- Masters degree in Public Administration Business Administration Organizational Leadership Communications Community/Urban Planning Architecture or a related field (preferred).
- Experience working with a homeowner association condominium association common interest community or municipal government (preferred).
- Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) Association Management Specialist (AMS) Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) or other related designation (preferred).
- Experience planning and leading workshops outreach initiatives educational programming or community engagement activities for volunteer leaders and residents (preferred).
