Communications Specialist

AZZ Inc. is seeking a talented and driven Communications Specialist to join our team. This mid-level role is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communications that strengthens employee engagement enhances brand reputation and supports key business initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator with exceptional writing skills strong project management abilities and experience collaborating across multiple business functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop write edit and distribute internal communications including employee announcements newsletters executive messages and organizational updates.
• Create compelling external communications including press releases website content social media posts customer communications and marketing collateral.
• Partner with leaders across the organization to communicate strategic initiatives organizational changes and company achievements.
• Maintain editorial calendars and manage communication projects from concept through execution.
• Ensure all communications align with AZZs brand standards messaging and corporate voice.
• Support media relations efforts by preparing press materials and coordinating responses as needed.
• Assist with planning and promoting corporate events employee engagement initiatives and community outreach activities.
• Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements using engagement metrics and feedback.
• Collaborate with Marketing Human Resources Investor Relations and other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
• Stay current on communication trends best practices and emerging digital communication tools.

Qualifications :

• 35 years of professional communications public relations or corporate communications experience.
• Exceptional written editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience developing content for multiple communication channels and audiences.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms.
• Experience in manufacturing industrial engineering or B2B environments.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) email communication platforms and social media management tools.
• Basic graphic design or multimedia content creation experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting executive communications and change management initiatives.

Minimum Education

• Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations Journalism Marketing English or a related field.
