Communications Coordinator

As a Communications Coordinator youll use your storytelling skills to drive awareness of the Redfin mission our unique technology and everything else that sets Redfin apart. You will also set our team up for success through maintaining and improving a variety of essential administrative tasks.

About the Role

• Track catalog and analyze both Redfin coverage and competitor coverage while consistently looking for ways to optimize processes for accuracy and efficiency

• Draft press releases and pitch Redfin reports to local media outlets

• Draft press briefing documents for spokespeople

• Research how the media is covering housing including insights for the rental market

• Keep team updated on relevant industry events emerging media platforms and more

• Update media lists and identify new reporters to pitch

About You

• 1-2 years of full-time PR or communications experience

• Bachelors degree in communications journalism or a related field

• Youre highly organized and have experience tracking coverage and creating reports

• Youve worked with reporters before and know how to draft a good pitch

• Youre a creative thinker and strong communicator who reads the news and understands whats considered newsworthy

• Experience with Google Analytics WordPress Muck Rack Meltwater Boolean searches and Tableau a plus

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable job posting disclosure requirements. The compensation for this position is $30.80-$41.68. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus incentives and other employment-related benefits including but not limited to medical dental and vision benefits 401K retirement plan and paid-time off.
