Communications Construction Supervisor

Summary/Objective

The Construction Supervisors primary role is to work in conjunction with Project Managers to assure jobs are completed in a timely fashion and according to customer requirements.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Responsible for checking the quality of work performed on construction sites and remedying quality as necessary
  
• Provide direction to staff to ensure efficient and cost effective operation within approved operating budgets
  
• Responsible for total management of assigned staff. This includes hiring disciplining training and supervision of employees
  
• Coordinate construction plans with crews and sub-contractors
  
• Complete and maintain all necessary project paperwork
  
• Communicate with management on project progress and developments
  
• Serves the liaison between the Company customers and utilities
  
• Responsible for ordering and tracking construction materials
  
• May lay-out and design construction maps and work from the maps of others
  
• Responsible to identify unsafe / hazardous conditions for self other employees customers and the general public
  
• Adhere to all established company safety policies and procedures
  
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must have good customer relations and communication skills
  
• Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times
  
• Must have RF & OSP construction experience
  
• Be self-motivated with ability to follow oral and written instructions
  
• Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with a wide variety of personalities
  
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and projects
  

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
  
• Must have at least five (5) years experience as communications construction supervisor
  
• Must have a valid drivers license with 2 years driving experience and a clear driving record
  

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Ability to pass a criminal background screen

Valid drivers license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background test

Pre-employment drug screening

Ability to perform the physical duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks
