About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve our commercial properties throughout the Appleton area. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment solving problems working independently and taking pride in keeping facilities operating safely and efficiently.

You will perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks respond to service requests and help ensure our properties remain safe functional and well-maintained for tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot repair and maintain building systems and equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical electrical plumbing and life safety systems
• Service pumps valves pneumatic controls electrical mechanical and hydraulic devices
• Assist with installation modification and replacement of building equipment and systems
• Complete work orders and respond promptly to maintenance requests
• Repair and replace building finishes including ceiling tiles door hardware paint wallpaper and related building components
• Inspect buildings grounds and equipment to identify safety concerns and preventive maintenance needs
• Maintain and operate fire alarm systems and other life safety equipment
• Evaluate maintenance operations and recommend improvements upgrades and cost-saving initiatives
• Safely operate maintenance tools equipment and machinery
• Utilize smartphones tablets computers work order systems and building automation systems to document and manage maintenance activities
• Participate in emergency response as needed

What Were Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial building maintenance facilities maintenance property maintenance manufacturing maintenance HVAC electrical plumbing or a related skilled trade
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of maintenance methods tools equipment and building systems
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs in a commercial environment preferred
• Comfortable using smartphones tablets and computerized maintenance management systems
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid drivers license preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand walk climb kneel and perform physical work for extended periods
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations as needed
