Job Summary
The Role
This is a full-time summer internship based in Norwood MA from January 18 2027 June 25 2027. Candidates must be available for the entire duration of the program.
The CBL Compliance Intern will support laboratory compliance within Modernas GCLP internal laboratory at the Norwood CBL site. This role offers meaningful practical experience in a regulated laboratory environment with the opportunity to contribute to ongoing laboratory and compliance initiatives.
Heres What Youll Do
- Support laboratory compliance activities within the CBL in alignment with GCLP guidelines applicable procedures and quality requirements.
- Assist with review and organization of laboratory governance documents SOPs forms worksheets and compliance records to support document accuracy traceability and readiness for use.
- Support training compliance activities including review and organization of training records and follow-up of documentation to help maintain complete and current records.
- Gain exposure to Quality Event and issue management processes by assisting with documentation tracking data gathering and follow-up activities under the guidance of the Compliance team.
- Support audit and inspection readiness activities including document preparation request tracking record organization and other logistical support for internal or external assessments.
- Assist with review of laboratory documentation for good documentation practices and ALCOA principles including attributable legible contemporaneous original accurate complete consistent enduring and available records.
- Collaborate with laboratory scientists study teams Compliance and other cross-functional partners to support day-to-day compliance activities and project deliverables.
- Contribute to special projects that strengthen laboratory quality systems and provide broad exposure to compliance within a regulated clinical laboratory environment.
Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in a STEM field (e.g. Biology Biochemistry Molecular Biology Chemical Engineering or related discipline).
- Foundational laboratory compliance quality skills applicable to analytical testing

- GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent academic achievement.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skill.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
- Interest in working within a regulated laboratory environment.
