This role will focus on leveraging advanced CAD/CAM tools such as Mastercam and SolidWorks to design efficient machining strategies and ensure manufacturability from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
Follow all company safety policies and maintain a strong safety-first mindset
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine specifications tolerances tooling requirements and machining parameters
Develop optimize and maintain CNC programs for mills lathes and grinders using Mastercam and SolidWorks
Occasionally operate CNC machinery to validate programs and support production needs
Collaborate with manufacturing estimators to provide input on quotes and feasibility of new projects
Select source and prepare tooling and equipment required for each job
Work closely with project managers to review performance cost data and lessons learned for continuous improvement
Support ongoing process improvement initiatives and contribute to manufacturing efficiency
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred OR 4 years of CNC programming experience
Strong understanding of CNC and conventional machine capabilities and limitations
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
Strong mechanical aptitude with a problem-solving mindset
Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks required
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor (preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook Project)
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to perform under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
