CNC MachinistProgrammer III

CNC Machinist/Programmer III to join our growing manufacturing team. This senior-level position is responsible for programming setting up operating and optimizing CNC machining centers while producing high-precision components that meet demanding quality standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong programming skills extensive setup experience and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues while mentoring less experienced machinists.

• Create modify and optimize CNC programs using CAM software and machine controls.
• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints GD&T engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Select tooling workholding cutting parameters and machining strategies.
• Perform first article inspections and verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining tooling programming and quality issues to maximize efficiency.
• Optimize cycle times while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Recommend process improvements that reduce cost and improve throughput.
• Perform machine offsets tool changes and preventive maintenance.
• Work closely with Engineering and Quality to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Train and mentor junior machinists and setup personnel.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
• Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational machining education preferred.
• 7 years of CNC machining and programming experience.
• Strong experience with CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.
• Proficient with G-code programming and CAM software (Mastercam Fusion 360 GibbsCAM Esprit or similar).
• Experience with Fanuc Haas Okuma Mazak Mitsubishi or similar controls.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience machining tight tolerance precision components.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
