CNC Machine Operator Level 2

Position Summary

As a Level II Machine Operator youll be part of our manufacturing team producing fluid-system components that meet the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for an entry-level machinist who is eager to learn can work independently maintain high quality production standards and recognize when additional support is needed while maintaining a strong focus on safety. Youll be provided all the tools and gauges necessary to be successful in your role.

Youll have the opportunity to learn every day continuously expanding your technical knowledge gaining experience working on a variety of machines producing various parts in a clean modern temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.

What Youll Do

Your day will include a variety of responsibilities that keep production running safely and efficiently including:

• Follow Swageloks production system such as participating in a daily shift start-up meeting with your team. Youll give or receive a shift handoff report that sets the incoming or outgoing shifts up for success.
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions.
• Follow standard work instructions and quality plans according to specs.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers calipers comparators ring gauges dial indicators smart gauges and other inspection tools.
• Monitor machine outputs. Identify quality machining tooling and process issues and escalate to support associates to resume production.
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
• Document production activities accurately and maintain manufacturing records.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work area while following all safety procedures.

Successful candidates will have:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills adding and subtracting fractions and decimals
• Self-motivated with an ability to learn in a fast-paced environment

Even better if you have:

• Machining experience or mechanical background
• Experience in a manufacturing production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to work overtime hours as needed

Physical Requirements

This position requires working in a manufacturing environment and may include:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent bending reaching and stooping.
• Lifting materials weighing 2535 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Working safely around manufacturing equipment.
• Passing required vision acuity testing where applicable.
