CNC Machine Operator I

The CNC Machine Operator I is an is a trainee/apprentice level position that is responsiblefor producing machined parts by operating a computer numerical control CNC lathe ormilling machine maintaining quality and safety standards keeping records andmaintaining equipment and drill presses manual milling machines CNC milling machines manual lathes and CNC lathes under close and unload raw materials and parts into the and measure finished product using calipers gauges micrometers and other machinist hand finished product to drawing specifications to determine if they adhere to company quality specifications by observing drilling grooving and cutting including turning facing knurling and threadchasing operations and taking the supervisor or area lead if more complex tool or machine adjustments are production by performing secondary work such as deburring or drilling while the machines are work area in clean and orderly condition complying with established 5S a safe work environment to prevent onthejob injuries by following and promoting company OSHA andEPA rules and regulations implementing machine safeguards recognizing and reporting safety hazards and follow all safety procedures and other duties as required within the nature and level of school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience in a machine shop environment is be able to read write speak and understand basic English. Proficiency in basic math and to communicate and work as a team member. Ability to use measuring Demand RequirementsRequired to stand walk or sit; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands andarms; climb stairs; balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
