CNC Lead First Shift

The Department Leader of CNC Mill Lathe or Drill Press is responsible for workingwith supervisors to determine work procedure prepare work schedule andexpedite workflow within the department. This position will train and mentor newemployees make recommendations for process improvements and fulfill theworkload of a level III operator.1. Review work center/departmental work listings to determine work procedure prepare work scheduleand expedite workflow within department by working with supervisors and managers.2. Inform personnel on method and procedure to be used for the assignment.3. Perform job setups as needed.4. Maintain high quality standards and effective production rates within the department.5. Examine work of associates in department for exactness neatness and conformance to providedspecifications.6. Train and mentor new employees.7. Review and correct errors and deficiencies in methods procedures and work sequences.8. Document corrections and modifications needed for set-up procedures and operation of machinery.9. Recommend adjustment to work standard as needed and monitor effective achievement of thosestandards.10. Improve efficiency through set-up reduction and problem definition and resolution.11. Fulfill the duties of a level III operator in their department on whatever machine they are requested touse.12. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of school diploma or equivalent. Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturingenvironment and three (3) years of work-related experience as a Level III possess knowledge of basic math skills. Must be able to read write speak and understand basicEnglish. Ability to learn problem-solve and make decisions per work instructions and documents. Ability tocommunicate and work as a team member and team Demand RequirementsOccasionally required to stand walk or sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controlsreach with hands and arms climb stairs balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl talk or hear taste or employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities requiredby the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and theability to adjust focus.
