Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to set up operate and monitor CNC lathes to manufacture precision-machined components that meet required dimensions tolerances and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on CNC lathe experience the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings and strong attention to detail. This role involves machine setup tooling selection basic adjustments quality inspection and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up operate and monitor CNC lathes to produce precision-machined components.
- Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings work orders and specifications.
- Select and install appropriate tooling fixtures and cutting tools.
- Perform machine setup offsets and basic adjustments.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and required tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine machine checks and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
- Work with supervisors and team members to resolve machining issues.
- Follow company safety procedures quality standards and operational guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to improve productivity quality and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of CNC machine experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of CNC machine setup operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience working with machining equipment and industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work instructions.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments for quality inspection.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable safety-conscious and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Technical training or certification in CNC Machining Industrial Technology or a related field is preferred.
