We are looking for aBrake Press Operator to join our Greenwood IN facility on a 3rd shift schedule. You will set up and operate brake press to form parts in accordance to the blueprint specifications and work Youll Do:Reads and interprets blueprints and work operations sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performedCompletes forming responsibilities which may include offsets large radii and standard bendsUses inspection gauges such as calipers (both dial and vernier) micrometers squares and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions; reports dimensional problems to supervisor or set-up and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped partsCompletes production paperwork and makes required entries into company data baseMaintains tools measuring instruments and equipment in a clean and orderly mannerReports all equipment problems or malfunctions to supervisor/manager immediately; and maintains clean orderly and safe work areas at all Youll Need:High School diploma or equivalent preferred1 year of related experience and/or trainingAbility to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram formMathematical skills to manage units of measure fractions decimals whole numbersAbility to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formedAbility to set-up and operate Brake Press machine input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System
