POSITION GOAL:
To superviseobserveandassiststudents enrolled in the Ada Professional Technical Center Certified Nursing Assistant Program. Provide clinical site supervision of nursing activities performed by studentsin accordance withfederal state local and healthcare facility standardsguidelinesand regulations.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- LPN or RNLicense;
- CPR Healthcare ProviderCertificate;
- Minimum of twoyearsfull-time experience as a licensed nurse providing direct patient care in a nursingfacility;
- Valid Drivers License.
SKILLS:
- Strong communicationskills;
- Organized detailoriented;
- Competency in basic computer/technologyapplications;
- Self-motivated;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
DUTIES:
- Engage students to obtain/learn the skills and knowledge to successfully complete the CNA program and prepare for the CNAexam;
- Supervise andobservestudents at designated clinical site(s);
- Focus on studentinstruction;
- Assiststudents through observational and participative experiences to apply nursing theory the nursing process and nursing techniques in the clinicalsetting;
- Collaborate effectively with students and staff within the school district and at clinicalsites;
- Have a working knowledge of student attendance and accountabilityrequirements;
- Communicateappropriate informationclearly andin a timely manner.
