CNA- Certified Nursing Assistant

Position Overview

This position will provide essential care to our residents by assisting them with activities of daily living while ensuring wellbeing and safety.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing services to each resident according to the resident service plan.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing dressing eating hygiene and mobility.
• Monitor health safety and well-being of the residents by taking and recording vitals reporting nuances to supervisor.
• Support resident mobility by assisting with transfers positioning walking and using mobility aids as needed.
• Document information pertaining to changes in residents functional status personal needs appointments etc.
• Maintain an accurate record of chargeable services and submit record to supervisor by the designated date each month.
• Respond promptly to call signals and resident emergencies assisting with their immediate need or contacting emergency support.
• Assist with minor housekeeping of residents apartments including laundry if applicable.
• Maintain clean and sanitary resident spaces adhering to infection control protocols.
• Encourage socialization among residents and promote activities chaperoning and assisting as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents facility operations and personnel.
• Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services
• Other duties as assigned

Education Experience and Other Requirements

• Certified Nurses Aide Certification and active with state Nurse Aid Registry
• Basic First Aid Training
• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior living
• Six months working in a healthcare setting
