Quality Inspector (CMM Programmer/Operator)

Location: On-Site
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $24.00$30.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: MondayFriday 6:00 AM 4:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Inspector with experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect precision-machined parts. The ideal candidate will have experience with Zeiss CMMs Calypso software (or similar) precision measuring tools and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and program CMM equipment to inspect manufactured parts.
Perform first-piece in-process and final inspections.
Use precision measuring instruments including calipers micrometers and gauges.
Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
Select the appropriate measuring equipment based on part features and tolerances.
Verify parts meet quality specifications and identify nonconforming products.
Document inspection results and communicate quality concerns to production.
Maintain a clean safe and organized work area.

Qualifications

Experience with Zeiss CMM and Calypso software (or similar CMM software).
Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers and gauges.
Experience inspecting a variety of machined parts in a job shop or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
Understanding of proper measuring device selection based on part features and print requirements.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
