Cloud Network Security Engineer

Overview:
- team has been tasked with on premise Data Center connectivity and security while another team was overseeing cloud (AWS & GCP)
- The cloud team uses a lot of legacy firewall and cloud security products which are outdated and below standards
- Now the on premise and cloud teams will be merging; Client wants to move out of data centers and into their clouds (only on site presence will be in distribution centers)
Need this resource to :
- Come in and understand current state of firewall environment
- Configure and teach new AWS Firewall Environment
- Configure teach automate and securing these environments
- Strengthening best practices in the future
- This team is primarily Network folks this new resource will carry the weight of firewall knowledge
Top Requirements
- Extensive AWS WAF (GCP Nice to have)
- Palo checkpoint other traditional firewalls are nice to have
- Configuring an AWS firewall environment from ground up
- Firewall components (load balancing API infra as code (IaC) for Automation)
D2D :
- Dissecting cloud firewalls for inventory
- Upgrade facelift and strengthen firewall rules/policy/frameworks
- Routing firewall traffic
Background:
- Hands on configuration of AWS WAF environment
- Security/Firewall first network second background
- Large enterprise experience is beneficial but not a showstopper
