Cloud Engineer

Job Summary
This is a remote position.
- Design deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform CloudFormation or Pulumi.
- Automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows using Jenkins GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
- Monitor system performance availability and security using cloud-native tools and third-party solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices data privacy regulations and internal policies.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and reduce operational costs through right-sizing and tagging strategies.
- Collaborate with development security and operations teams to support application lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and performance issues in production environments.
- Document architecture designs operational procedures and incident response protocols.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies trends and industry standards.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure management.
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform: AWS Azure or GCP.
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools (e.g. Jenkins Sensible GitLab CI).
- Knowledge of networking security and identity management in cloud environments (VPCs IAM firewalls etc.).
- Understanding of monitoring logging and observability tools (e.g. CloudWatch Prometheus ELK stack).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Professional Engineer are highly preferred.
