Cloud Data Engineer II
As the Cloud Data Engineer II you will support the design and delivery of scalable governed data solutions that power enterprise analytics and business this role youll build and optimize data pipelines using Python Java and GCP technologies while also contributing to user-facing data tools using React or modern UX development practices. Day-to-day youll partner with data engineers analysts and governance teams to enable trusted data assets and intuitive user experiences. Successful candidates are detail-oriented collaborative and excited to grow across data engineering APIs and front-end development.
This role is hybrid which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What youll do
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for enterprise data platforms
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to enable data access and services
- Develop and enhance user interfaces using React or modern UX frameworks
- Implement data ingestion transformation and integration using GCP tools
- Monitor troubleshoot and optimize data workflows APIs and performance
Basic qualifications
- 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
- 2 years of experience with programming languages such as Python Java or similar
- 2 years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Platform) or distributed data systems
- 2 years of experience designing and working with RESTful APIs and React or modern UX frameworks
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with GCP tools such as BigQuery Dataflow Cloud Storage or Cloud Function
- Familiarity with API design integration and microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL and enterprise data warehouse concepts
- Exposure to data governance metadata and data quality framework
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
