Job Title: Cloud Architect Contractor GCP Networking
Location: Jersey City NJ or Delaware (W2 Only)
Role Description
As a Cloud Architect Contractor you will support the project team by designing and implementing cloud solutions that align with business and technical requirements. You will develop cloud architecture strategies and plans design and implement cloud infrastructure evaluate cloud technologies and tools provide technical guidance during implementation and ensure compliance with cloud security performance and cost optimization standards.
This role focuses on designing and delivering secure scalable networking solutions for onboarded applications including segmentation and hybrid connectivity patterns.

You will develop cloud architecture strategies and plans design and implement cloud infrastructure evaluate cloud technologies and tools provide technical guidance during implementation and ensure compliance with cloud security performance and cost optimization standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop cloud architecture strategies and plans aligned with business goals and technical requirements.
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure including network design security configurations and cloud services.
- Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies and tools to meet project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during cloud solution implementation.
- Ensure compliance with best practices and standards for cloud security performance and cost optimization.
- Build and operate GCP networking components including VPC Shared VPC subnets routes firewall policies and DNS patterns.
- Define ingress and egress architecture NAT load balancing patterns and private access solutions.
- Support hybrid connectivity concepts including VPN Interconnect routing and troubleshooting.
- Deliver network changes safely using Terraform modules and staged rollout approaches.
- Troubleshoot networking issues using logs flow data and systematic triage methods.
- GCP Python Advanced level (69 years of experience)
- 5 years of experience with:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Python
- Terraform
- Networking
- Strong understanding of:
- GCP networking fundamentals
- Secure segmentation and egress control patterns
- Terraform-based network provisioning
- Change safety and blast-radius management
- Troubleshooting using logs flow data and systematic triage
- Centralized firewall governance
- Service perimeter concepts
- WAF patterns
- High connectivity reliability
- Low security exceptions
- Quick incident resolution
