What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a Clinical Placement Program Manager in the Physician Assistant Studies department. The Clinical Placement Program Manager is integral to fostering student success throughout their academic journey specifically during the clinical phase of the program to graduation. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive support in the clinical education. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Clinical Education as well as other program faculty and staff. By facilitating a supportive environment this position plays a critical role in promoting student retention and success.
A bachelors degree and two years of relevant work experience are required. A bachelors degree and four years of relevant work experience are preferred. Additional education or experience may be considered in lieu of one another.
This role is eligible for remote work but must be able to periodically travel to Waco Texas including occasional weekends for program activities and designated work.
Additional requirements include:
- Strong time management communication and organizational skills
- Advanced knowledge in planning conflict resolution and coordination
- Confidence in interpersonal and multichannel communication and teamwork including the ability to work independently and as a team member
- Travel is an expectation and requirement of this position

What You Will Do
- Directly manage advise and support students with various academic and administrative needs during the clinical phase including clinical placements registration financial aid inquiries non-academic support and adherence to program policies and procedures
- Build and nurture a network of clinical placement sites ensuring a diverse professional and enriching experience for students
- Support students throughout the clinical placement process collaborating closely with students The Director of Clinical Education and the Student Success team to provide consistent guidance
- Manage academic databases student files communication with students and clinical placement records while strictly adhering to FERPA policies regarding the handling of student records and ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive information
- Oversee strategic initiatives related to clinical placement and student support which could include contract management and growth maintaining and investing in current clinical partnerships recruiting and growing potential clinical partners building an alumni network enhancing collaboration between Baylor student associations and professional organizations etc.
- Develop and maintain clinical education sites and affiliation agreements in alignment with program goals
- Evaluate clinical sites in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Education initiating affiliation agreement processes and ensuring compliance with program and accreditation requirements
- Contribute to program assessment needs across functional areas to support accreditation requirements
- Complete program projects and events related to clinical education as assigned
- Attend departmental meetings
- Provide onsite and/or virtual support during critical events including orientation immersions and graduation as assigned
- Participate in departmental events and perform other duties as assigned
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance

The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $60000. The full salary range for this position classification is $51569.56 - $850889.77.
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience skills knowledge abilities education licensure and certification analysis of internal equity and other business and organizational needs.
