Our wide range of programs spanning social services education and recreation reflects our mission to build a more connected inclusive and thriving community for THE ROLE:To continue advancing the impact we have across the communities we serve Commonpoint is hiring a Clinical Director Adolescent Services & Internships situated within the Mental Health Division. The Mental Health Division plays a vital role in providing accessible person-centered behavioral health services and supporting clients in improving their mental wellness. The individual hired as Clinical Director Adolescent Services & Internships will provide individual psychotherapy to adolescent clients at the AD Clinic coordinate and supervise social work interns assigned to the clinic and support community outreach efforts designed to strengthen awareness of and connection to mental health services. The clinical director will work collaboratively with clinic leadership staff interns community partners and other Commonpoint programs to support high-quality clinical care and meaningful training experiences. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Mental Health RESPONSIBILITIES:Clinical Services:Maintain an active caseload of adolescent/young adult clients at the MH Clinic and provide individual psychotherapy in accordance with client needs treatment plans agency expectations and applicable regulatory established productivity expectations by maintaining an appropriate caseload scheduling sufficient clinical sessions monitoring attendance and cancellations and using available clinical hours accurate timely and complete clinical documentation necessary to support quality care billing compliance and in clinical consultation case conferences utilization review and other quality-improvement and maintain relationships with schools youth-serving organizations Commonpoint programs and community partners to strengthen referrals to adolescent mental health in Mental Health Integration initiatives at the Jack & Shirley Silver HUB (and/or other assigned locations).Represent Mental Health Services at community events presentations open houses and outreach regular clinical supervision to social work interns in accordance with agency expectations academic program requirements and professional intern documentation and support the development of clinical judgment ethical practice professional identity and effective use of with school field-education representatives and complete required intern evaluations within established & Organizational Excellence:Participate in the agencys performance management process by establishing annual goals completing mid-year and end-of-year evaluations and engaging in ongoing performance discussions with documentation data entry and required reports accurately and on time in accordance with agency standards funder requirements and established deadlines including updates to agency systems dashboards and tracking required annual professional development activities to maintain and strengthen clinical knowledge professional skills and overall job program and service data to improve performance by participating in data review and discussion during supervision department meetings reporting activities and other quality improvement efforts including surveys and feedback activities as & KEY ATTRIBUTES:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Masters degree in Social Work Mental Health Counseling or a related behavioral health New York State license as a mental health professional with ability to supervise experience providing behavioral health services to adolescents and supervising social work interns trainees or early-career to balance direct clinical service supervision outreach and program development proficiency with electronic health records Google Workspace and data management QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience in a Commonpoint role is a Spanish is strongly ATTRIBUTES FOR CLINICAL DIRECTOR ROLE:Organized and detail-oriented with strong multitasking and time-management clinical judgment and the ability to balance direct service supervision outreach and program- development communication and relationship-building to work collaboratively across clinical programmatic and community to provide clear supportive and accountable supervision to interns and & BENEFITS:Commonpoint offers competitive base salaries benchmarked against comparable nonprofit organizations in the New York metropolitan area.
