Clean Transportation Researcher (Entry Level, Hybrid, Summer 2027)

ICF is seeking aClean Transportation Researcherresponsible for planning and completing project tasks related tovehicle electrification alternative fuels emission reduction transportation decarbonization and advanced technologies in thetransportation sector. Work may include research and writing related to the costs and benefits of advanced vehicle technologies and alternative transportation fuels research on industry trends writing reports and developing presentations. Work primarily supports federal clients such as the National Laboratory of the Rockies and the U.S. Department of Energy.

This is an entry-level full-time position expected to begin Summer 2027. Work will be performed in hybrid setting from either ICFs Crystal City (Arlington) VA Waltham MA or New York City office (those with a preference should indicate such on their resume/cover letter). Pay is anticipated to be in the mid $60K range.

• Staying current and connected with theelectric and alternative fuel vehicle market including trends policies key players and more
• Analyzing locations forelectric vehicle charging infrastructureand/or stations for alternative fuels
• Staying current and connected with theelectric and alternative fuel vehicle market including trends policies key players and more
• Leading or supporting the development and deployment of communications outreach and training resources including case studies fact sheets webinars in-person events presentations and other opportunities
• Developing innovative accurate timely and high-quality products and services typically working as part of a team
• Data collection and maintenance
• Interacting and communicating with clients

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in transportation environmental science energy public policy or a related field

• Policy and regulatory context surrounding transportation energy and alternative fuels
• Government support in deploying electric/alternative fuel vehicles or related program implementation
• Public agency consulting
