Key Responsibilities
- Direct Student Support:Work side-by-side with individual students to help them with classwork life-skills labs and daily routines.
- Keep Classrooms Organized:Help the teacher set up clean and organize visual schedules workstations and sensory tools.
- Behavior Support:Use positive strategies to help redirect and calm students when they feel overwhelmed or anxious.
- Logistical Guide:Supervise students safely during lunch activities and transitions between classrooms.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience:No experience working in schools or with disabilities is necessary!We provide hands-on training.
- Mindset:You must be calm under pressure flexible dependable and genuinely enjoy working with teenagers.
- Background:Ideal for students currently enrolled at school (Education or Human Services programs) looking for real-world hours but open to any qualified local applicant.
- Physical:Must be active and able to bend kneel and move quickly to ensure student safety.
