We are on the lookout for a Claim Support Representative to join our growing team@! The Claim Support Representative is expected to carry out the following job functions and responsibilities with significant guidance from the Claim Director and other experienced claim resources. The job duties of the Claim Support Representative vary by location and by client companies. The following job duties are all encompassing and managers should determine which job duties apply on a case-by-case basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in DLH training programs
- Gather medical records and other information needed to assess ongoing benefit eligibility
- Communicate with Policyholders and their authorized representatives and respond to verbal and written inquiries
- Record information in claim files and input data into electronic systems to track activities and claim status to disburse benefits and to produce management reports
- Process maintain and manage claim tasks and repetitive template payments for RPU/APU claims
- Responsible for requesting and filing Attending Physician Statements and Continuance of Disability forms on RPU/APU claims
- Participate in special projects as requested and perform other related job functions as required

This is a full-time remote role.
Skills knowledge & expertise
- High school degree; Associates degree preferred
- 23 years experience in an office environment
- Insurance industry experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred
- Expert knowledge of disability insurance
- Excellent cognitive ability analytical skills organization and recall
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- General knowledge of all operations functions
- Organization and attention to detail
- Solid Customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work individually and as a team player
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Fluent in Spanish preferred
