Civil Project Engineer Water Resources

We are looking to add aWater Resources Project Engineer PEwho will help advance our mission thatAll People Should Live in Safe Sustainable and Beautiful Communities!As a Water Resources Project Engineer you will spend the majority of your time supporting project managers in the design and construction phases ofmunicipal stormwater capital improvement projectsstream and wetland restorationdam rehabilitation and removal andcomprehensive watershed studies. The primary focus of this position is technical water resources engineering includinghydrologic and hydraulic modelingstormwater system designrestoration design andplan developmentfor a wide range of water-resilience and ecological improvement projects. You will play a key role in helping our team deliver projects that protect infrastructure enhance natural systems and improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. We are looking for candidates who possess a high capacity for self-motivation and can apply engineering and water resources knowledge to a variety of addition you must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from various agencies.

This position can be based out of our offices located in:
North Carolina - Raleigh Charlotte Wilmington Kinston Holly Springs Wake Forest
South Carolina - Rock Hill Greenville Myrtle Beach Conway

What You Will Be Doing:

• Performs detailed design computations
• Performs preliminary layout modeling and design.
• Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates.
• Assists with plan reviews storm water pollution prevention plans design of storm water facilities storm water detention and retention design water quality design and storm water management planning

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Water Resources or Biosystems Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• 5-10 years progressive experience in the civil engineering field includinghydraulic and hydrologic modeling
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation GeoPAK Drainage HydroCAD P8 and GIS
