Pay: $100000.00 - $120000.00 per year

Note: Candidates must have an active Virginia bar license and 3 years of civil litigation experience. This is not a hybrid or remote role and the interview process is conducted in person.

Job Description

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial strategy through resolution.
• Draft pleadings motions briefs discovery requests responses and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings mediations negotiations and other proceedings.
• Develop case strategy evaluate risk and provide practical legal guidance to clients.
• Conduct legal research and produce clear persuasive written work.
• Communicate directly with clients opposing counsel courts and other parties.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff while maintaining ownership of assigned matters.
• Negotiate settlements and help move cases efficiently toward favorable resolutions.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia bar license in good standing.
• 3 years of civil litigation experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Strong legal research writing case management and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Culpeper Virginia.
• In-house and solo practice candidates are welcome if they have strong civil litigation experience.

• 3 to 4 years: $100K to $105K;
• 5 to 7 years: $105K to $112K;
