Our client is seeking a PE-Licensed Project Engineer specializing in land development to join their growing Civil Engineering team in Newport Beach CA. This role will focus on the design engineering and management of land development projects including commercial mixed-use and infrastructure developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site planning grading stormwater management permitting and civil design while working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage all phases of land development projects from concept design to final construction documents.
- Develop grading drainage and stormwater management plans in compliance with local state and federal regulations.
- Oversee site planning permitting and entitlement processes.
- Collaborate with architects contractors and government agencies to ensure seamless project execution.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to prepare designs and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting regulatory requirements.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license - REQUIRED
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering
- 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development
- Strong expertise in site design grading drainage and stormwater management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software
- In-depth knowledge of zoning laws permitting processes and local regulations
