Civil Engineering Intern – Summer 2027

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern Summer 2027 to join our Henderson NV office.

• Assist with the preparation and organization of engineering drawings specifications and project documentation under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Support engineering investigations and planning activities by collecting data performing basic analyses completing routine calculations and helping evaluate potential solutions using established procedures.
• Contribute to the development of technical reports by preparing assigned sections compiling information and incorporating feedback from supervisors.
• Assist with project and construction-related activities including reviewing shop drawings for general compliance maintaining project records tracking progress observing construction operations and supporting quality control efforts.
• Gather and analyze project data related to design alternatives site conditions and applicable regulations to support engineering evaluations and recommendations.
• Help prepare reports presentations permit application materials and other project documents by researching information drafting content and creating basic graphics and supporting materials.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under supervision using standard engineering methods and tools.

• EXPERIENCE:
  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associates or Bachelors degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION:
  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred)

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills experience and geographical location.
